Highlights:

On June 9, Angola merited a new positive assessment from the IMF, allowing a further disbursement of USD 772 million. Only one more review remains, expected to take place in the last quarter of the year, and it is still uncertain, as assumed by the authorities themselves, whether the country will resort to a new program after the end of the current arrangement.
The IMF continues to positively assess the performance of the authorities, despite the delay of some structural reforms. However, the institution is still somewhat cautious (perhaps too much, in our view) regarding the growth that these reforms may cause in the short term.
