In the 4th quarter of 2021, the Angolan GDP grew 2.2%, compared to the same period of the previous year – 2nd consecutive quarter of year-on-year increase and the highest value since the Q4 2018.

In 2021, the economy grew by 0.7%, after having shrunk by 5.6% in 2020, as a result of the pandemic – economic activity expanded for the first time since 2015.

Sectors such as Retail, Agriculture and Fisheries are booming, well above activity in 2019, while Construction, Financial Intermediation and Transport have not yet recovered all the activity lost during the pandemic.
